Ich, Odradek, und all die anderen Sachen die hinter dem Vorhang kitzeln
In Ich, Odradek and all other things that itch behind the curtain the artist plays with characters from literature and their interpretation by psychoanalysts. Odradek is a character from Franz Kafka’s short story Die Sorge des Hausvaters in which Odradek’s characteristics, habits and manners are described in detail, however, it leaves unclear what Odradek actually is. Lebar was especially interested in Willi Goetschel’s interpretation of Odradek as he sees him as the personification of a moment “where the economy of your repression won't work anymore”.
